Three years after a diagnosis of breast cancer, more than 40% of the patients presented at least one oncological-related neurological complication; neuropathic pain (NP) remained the major contributor to the burden of these conditions. Axillary lymph node dissection was associated with NP at one year and chemotherapy with NP at three years. Taxane-based chemotherapy was strongly associated with the prevalence of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
