Dual-action (azurin + gefitinib) combination therapy for lung cancer

The bacterial protein azurin and its derived peptide (p28) have been shown to possess anticancer activities. Up to date, several in vitro and in vivo studies have reported their multi-targeted anticancer properties. Moreover, p28, a cell-penetrating peptide, has completed two US phase I trials with promising results.

Effects of X radiation on Lung Cancer Cell Line - The interplay between oxidative stress and P53 levels

Ionizing radiation presents itself in the form of particles (alpha particles, beta particles, protons or neutrons) or electromagnetic radiation (gamma rays and X-rays) with characteristic ionizing power and penetration. Radiotherapy is an essential tool in the treatment of cancer. We can consider various forms of radiation such as external beam radiotherapy, brachytherapy and metabolic radiotherapy. When treating cancer with ionizing radiation all cells within the irradiation volume are more or less exposed.

Immature myeloid cells and tolerogenic cytokines in lung adenocarcinoma metastatic lymph nodes

Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is one of the most common causes of cancer-related death worldwide. In this type of cancer, immunotherapy has shown inconsistent efficacy, due to our limited understanding of the molecular and cellular interactions developed during carcinogenesis.
